We have a track in the Tampa metro down in Bradenton, as does Orlando just east on Hwy 50. That is neither here nor there though. As far as Daytona, I've spent more than enough time there over the years covering the Rolex and the Brunos at the track as well as visiting friends and family and most recently a good friends wedding and sure there are some nice parts to be seen scattered amongst the decay brought on by successive events like Bike Week, Spring Break, Biktoberfest, etc... Honestly, as far as Volusia County goes I'll take Deland in terms of beauty, etc. Its historic district and the Stetson campus are pretty charming in a small town way. Overall though, honestly I still think that either the Tampa Bay or Orlando metro areas have more to offer a group in general. All that aside the event is in Daytona, and as this is the first ZCon in Florida I am more than willing to do what I can to help out and make sure the event is terrific.
